Charleston's Premier Lacrosse Training and Select Teams

Kayleigh Donnelly, Director of Girls Program/Coach

Kayleigh grew up in Connecticut where her first stick was a boy’s stick when no girls team was available. Luckily, a dad stepped up, bought the US Lacrosse girls handbook, and a girls program was born. Not only did that get her hooked on lacrosse, but it also helped mold her into the coach she is today. She went on to play rec and travel ball until high school where she was a four-year varsity starter while leading her team in scoring all four years. Her passion for coaching began when she attended the University of Delaware and started coaching youth lacrosse. Since relocating to Charleston she has worked with Cusabo rec, ran the Lady Renegades travel program, coached Meeting Street Academy’s team, and worked private lessons. She is eager for the opportunity to work with a team that works collectively to bridge development and growth across both genders within the program.

Harley Barrett, Coach

Harley grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA where she played soccer and lacrosse for the majority of her athletic career. She recently finished her career at Coastal Carolina University as their starting goalie since her sophomore year. Her sophomore year she led the conference in save percentage (50.7%) and finished seventh nationally, was nominated as NCAA player of the week, and received ASUN- First team and All-Tournament Team for her conference awards. Both her junior and senior year she was awarded ASUN First-Team All-Conference and Defensive Player of the Year. Broke the conference record for most Player of the Week awards. Finished her career with 487 saves and a 49% save percentage average, and was elected to the IWLCA Senior All-Star game in Sparks, MD. She will graduate in December with a Finance degree and has a diverse background of knowledge across all positions. She wants to teach and help kids excel in their athletic careers to ensure they reach their goals and potential.

Jane Bartlett, Coach

Jane hails from East Lyme, CT where she was a two sport athlete in high school playing lacrosse and volleyball.  In lacrosse, Jane was a four-year starter and a two-time all-state selection.  She went on to play college lacrosse at Division II Limestone College as a goalie where she saw significant playing time all four years.  Jane only allowed 48 goals in almost 600 minutes between the pipes and had a 4.69 goals against average.  She graduated from Limestone in 2017 and is pursuing a nursing career.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the game, focusing on defensive skills and goalie work.

Andrea Walker, Coach

Andrea is a native of Baldwinsville, NY, right outside of the renowned lacrosse city of Syracuse. She has had a lacrosse stick in her hand since she was 4 years old. Playing for Central New York Elite Lacrosse Club and the Baldwinsville high school she led all her teams to success utilizing her high lacrosse IQ and a precision left hand to put the ball in the back of the net as a low attacker. In college she was the captain of University at Buffalo's club team. Andrea has coached youth lacrosse and is very excited to join the team to share her knowledge of the game.

Danielle Walker, Coach

Danielle is a native of Baldwinsville, NY and was a four-year standout defensive player at Oswego State. She was named the SUNYAC Defensive Athlete of the Week twice in her career and garnered several conference accolades including being named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team, All-SUNYAC, SUNYAC Defensive Athlete of the Year and owning a spot on the IWCLA All-Empire Region First Team.  She led Oswego State in ground balls in 2017 and 2019, and caused turnovers in 2017, 2018, and 2019. She also has experience taking draws in her collegiate career. Danielle is excited to bring her experience to the girls of the Low Country.

Gemma O'Kane, Coach

Gemma is a native of Baldwinsville, NY, where she grew up playing all kinds of sports with her siblings and cousins. When she decided to continue her lacrosse career, she chose to play at SUNY Oswego. As an attacker, Gemma started every game and was also one of the lead scorers for all four years of play. Her greatest career achievement was reaching over 100 goals and beating SUNY Brockport and SUNY Geneseo for the first time in a decade. After graduation, Gemma could not get away from the game, so she decided to coach at the middle school she used to attend and loved every second of it. Gemma cannot wait to pick up her stick again, and coach with Charleston Elite!
